Rachel Kramer Theodorou has been a classroom elementary and ESL teacher for more than 20 years in both public and private schools. Alongside her practical work, Rachel consults with Waltham Public Schools, MATSOL, EDCO and the Waltham Family School on matters ranging from instructional practices for teaching English Learners, to promoting ESL teacher leadership in professional development, and in methods for forging productive family relationships between school and home.Rachel received her Masters of Science in Education from Bank Street College of Education. She has been teaching at Brandeis since 2007 and has been in her role as Elementary Faculty Leader since 2014. Rachel teaches MAT courses in the fundamentals of teaching and to undergraduates about teaching English Learners, citizen science and teacher education, and in curriculum and assessment.
