Rachel Kramer Theodorou has been a classroom elementary and ESL teacher for more than 20 years in both public and private schools. Alongside her practical work, Rachel consults with Waltham Public Schools, MATSOL, EDCO and the Waltham Family School on matters ranging from instructional practices for teaching English Learners, to promoting teacher leadership in professional development, and in methods for forging productive family relationships between school and home. Her recent work is on elementary science education and preparation of elementary science educators via participation in citizen science.
Rachel received her Masters of Science in Education from Bank Street College of Education. She has been teaching at Brandeis since 2007 and has been in her role as Elementary Faculty Leader since 2014. Rachel teaches courses in citizen science, elementary curriculum and instruction, and teaching English Learners.
