Shaw Lupton is a product director at CoStar, a proptech company, where he leverages more than 15 years of industry experience to align cross-functional teams around the technology needs of real estate professionals. Before becoming a product manager, he helped grow CoStar’s consulting business to serve over $1T in capital as a trusted advisor to some of the company’s largest public and private debt and equity clients in the areas of fundraising, portfolio allocation, and diligence. Prior to CoStar, Mr. Lupton evaluated $2B in investments as a deal team member at Boston Properties, the REIT, and as a founding team member at Westport Point Capital, a private equity joint venture with Prudential Real Estate Investors.
Mr. Lupton believes there is profound potential to impact tomorrow’s real estate landscape through innovation. He co-founded the Boston Real Estate Technology Council at the Urban Land Institute, a global nonprofit, and is a founding member of the board of directors at Housing Navigator, a social impact technology venture. He is also a founding member of the leadership board at CREtech, a professional community, and of the innovation network at Building Ventures, a venture capital investment firm.
Mr. Lupton earned an M.B.A., an M.A. in International Economics and Finance, and a B.A. cum laude in Economics from Brandeis University, where he also serves as an adjunct professor in the International Business School.
