Peter Dixon is a Research Scientist in the Conflict Resolution and Coexistence Program at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, where he co-leads the Everyday Justice and Policy Innovation projects. His work intersects with the fields of transitional justice, peacebuilding, peacekeeping and political violence. Drawing on mixed-methods research, he is interested in understanding how people’s everyday experiences during and after conflict enable or limit transformative solutions. Currently, his work is focused on the local reception of justice and peace processes in Colombia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo and on the use of local indicators to guide justice and equity policies in the United States. In addition to engaging with academic puzzles about peace, conflict and justice, he seeks to inform policy and support ongoing peace and justice processes and has worked with a number of international organizations engaged in these fields. Currently, he is actively engaged with the peace research NGO, Everyday Peace Indicators. WebpageCourses Taught
