After 25 years in industry research and commercialization of speech recognition and natural language processing technology, I began teaching as an Adjunct in the Brandeis Computational Linguistics MA program in 2010 and became and Associate Professor of Practice in the Computer Science Department in 2015. In addition to teaching core courses in the Computational Linguistics MA program, I also teach in the summer JBS program Mobile Voice Applications, and act as Industry Liaison for our master's students. Throughout the year I bring people from industry for seminars and receptions to meet our students so that the students get a clearer idea of the kind of work is available to them in their field and the companies are introduced to our students and can hire them for internships and jobs.
