Profile

Beth A. Clark holds a PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies from The University of British Columbia with a research focus on clinical ethics and transgender health with pediatric populations. Dr. Clark is a Certified Healthcare Ethics Consultant (HEC-C) in the US, a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) in British Columbia, Canada, and a credentialed music therapist in both the US (MT-BC) and Canada (MTA). As an ethicist, counsellor, music therapist, and educator, Dr. Clark has served people with needs related to mental health, substance use, neurodiversity, developmental difference, palliative care, HIV/AIDS, and LGBTQ2+ health. Volunteer, advocacy, and policy work focuses on human rights and access to health care for marginalized and underserved populations. This range of experiences informs research and clinical interests in health care ethics and in improving equitable access to care.
