Instruction of modern Chinese as a foreign language, Chinese pedagogy, classical Chinese language, traditional Chinese and Oriental philosophy (Confucianism, Daoism, Buddhism), comparative ideas, and Chinese cultural heritage as a whole.Profile
Since fall 2007, I have been leading Brandeis Chinese Language Program to ensure our students to enjoy the best expereince of Chinese language learning and to reach true advanced level in four years or less. I have established and redesigned a full range of Chinese courses equal or surpass those offered by the top universities of the United States. Brandeis University is now the only university in the North America to offer two graduate programs of Chinese language instruction.Besides Chinese language instruction, I am also teaching Buddhism, Confucianism, and Taoism for Religious Studies.
