Profile

My research interests are in the areas of differential equations (ordinary and partial), stochastic processes, numerical analysis, and mathematical modeling in developing new numerical methods. I am especially interested in numerical solutions of partial and ordinary differential equations encapsulating micro-scale systems with stochasticity, and immersed boundary methods in studying fluid dynamics. My work focuses on developing and analyzing the accuracy of such numerical approximations and optimizing the associated computational algorithm. Current research focuses on the development of a numerical approximation to stochastic reaction-diffusion systems at single and multiple cell scales in domains with complex geometries, as well as applications of immersed boundary methods to fluid-structure interactions.
