Is registration required for Family Weekend?

Yes! You can register for Family Weekend here.

When does everything start and end?

Family Weekend 2019 begins on Friday, October 25 and runs though Sunday, October 27. The majority of events take place on Friday afternoon through Saturday night.

Do I need to pay to attend Family Weekend?

Yes, the registration fee is $10 and includes access to the welcome reception, presentations, Friday night entertainment, and the annual variety show. Families may also purchase tickets to off-campus excursions and Boston attractions.

How do I participate in off-campus programs?

You may purchase tickets for off-campus trips on the registration form. 

Prepaid tickets will be available for pick up at the Welcome and Registration Table in the Shapiro Campus Center when you check in. Tickets that have not been picked up in advance will be at the venue prior to the start time. Please see the description for each ticketed event for times.

Discounted tickets to Boston area attractions are available on a first-come first, serve basis at Brandeis Tickets in the Shapiro Campus Center.

Can I register later?

Yes, you can register when you arrive on campus for Family Weekend at Welcome and Registration Table in the Shapiro Campus Center Atrium.

Accommodations

Are there overnight accommodations on campus during Family Weekend?

The university does not have on-campus housing facilities available for families during Family Weekend.

What is the closest hotel to campus?

The Boston Marriott Newton is the closest hotel option. It is approximately a mile and a half walk from campus.

On Friday night during Family Weekend, we offer guided walks from campus to the hotel.

Off-Campus Dining and Transportation

Where can we eat in the Waltham area?

The historic city of Waltham offers a wide array of restaurants to suit any taste. Downtown Waltham is just a 20-minute walk from campus or a quick trip on the university shuttle.
