How We Work

Gender and Sexuality Center Teams

The Gender and Sexuality Center's graduate student workers (Graduate Assistants) and undergraduate student workers (Pride Reps) are organized into 3 teams. If you would like to collaborate with any of the GSC's teams, you can contact us at gsc@brandeis.edu

Peer Education Team

Our Peer Education Team works to develop student-led workshops on a variety of topics including identity exploration, allyship, navigating difficult conversations, and developing leadership skills. All of the GSC's workshops are constructed through a feminist and critically queer lens. Student employees on the Peer Education Team routinely contact student groups on campus to offer their portfolio and periodically host drop in workshops in the GSC.

Communications Team

Our Communications Team works to develop digital and physical resources for the GSC including the Instagram posts, our monthly newsletter, brochures, infographics, and website resource projects. The Communications Team's goal is to ensure that the GSC offers a plethora of resources that are easily accessible and beneficial to the Brandeis community. They also help in telling the GSC's story and accomplishments to campus members and alumni.

Events Team

Our Events Team works to develop a robust schedule of event throughout the school year that facilitate community building and provide new learning opportunities. Some of our events are smaller "pop up" programs that occur at the GSC or around campus while other events are annual traditions. The Events Team' also helps bring together GSC supported student clubs and organizations to help foster collaborative programming.
