Michael McKay

Michael McKay - Judging Panel Moderator

Michael McKay is a Senior Lecturer at Brandeis International Business School and an Advisory Partner at Bain & Company. He will be this year's 3DS judging moderator. Michael specializes in Private Equity and Public Markets Investing. Previously he served as Chief Investment Officer at Portfolio Logic LLC, a publicly held private investment fund. He is the founding partner of Bain and Company Private Equity Group and Results Capital Partners LLC (long-short hedge fund).

Regina Au

Regina Au, Principal, New Product Planning/Strategic Commercial Consultant at BioMarketing Insight

Regina Au has 25+ years experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, diagnostic and healthcare industries. She helps companies to maximize the benefits of their technology by conducting the business due diligence early in product development to de-risk the process and increase commercial success to ensure that the technology is the right product for the right market in meeting a critical unmet need and that the market opportunity for the product meets the business goals of the company.

She is a member of the Advisory Board for Regis College, Master of Regulatory and Clinical Research Management Program, a member of the Editorial Board for theInternational Journal of Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacotherapy and Industry Advisor for the European BioPharmaceutical Review Journal. Ms. Au also serves as an advisor for the Massachusetts Technology Transfer Center Platform Meetings for entrepreneurs and an Advisory Board member for an entrepreneur team at the Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship at MIT.

Regina has published numerous articles on market and technology trends in the Journal of Pharmaceutics, the International Journal of Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacotherapy, Advances in Biology, Biotechnology and Genetics Applied and Translational Genomics. Her expertise is in a number therapeutic areas such as cardiology, interventional cardiology, infectious disease, immunology, gastroenterology, neurology, oncology and surgery.

Prior to BioMarketing Insight she worked for Merck & Co., Genzyme Corp., NMT Medical, and Radi Medical (St. Jude Medical) in various positions of increasing responsibility in new product planning, marketing and sales. She had P&L responsibility in managing six multimillion dollar product lines and has experience in upstream and downstream marketing including strategic marketing, product development, market development, product launches and product management.

Chandra Briggman

Chandra Briggman, Director at Venture Café Kendall

Chandra Briggman is an innovator, humanitarian, entrepreneur and public speaker. She is an 18-year product and marketing executive with experience that spans both start-ups and large enterprises. As the former director of digital for USPS, she built the first digital division and innovation lab for the organization. She currently runs Venture Café in Cambridge, MA – a networking platform that connects entrepreneurs, investors and enterprise innovators.

Chandra is a huge proponent of human-centered and conscious innovation, and is on a mission to activate the inventor in everyone.As such, she teaches product development at General Assembly Boston. Chandra has also been a long-standing advocate for women and children. She coaches female entrepreneurs at the Babson WINLab accelerator and Founder Institute, and is a certified foster care provider. Chandra founded digital magazine PATRONNÈ.co, an online platform for professional women, to reclaim the voice and image of feminine success.

Chandra holds a master’s degree from both MIT and Johns Hopkins University, and a bachelor’s degree from Columbia International University.

Karthik Krishnan

Karthik Krishnan, CEO and Co-founder at MentorWorks

Dr. Karthik Krishnan is the CEO and co-founder of MentorWorks Education Capital, LLC, which provides education finance through income share agreements and career networking and mentor support to students in higher education. He is also a tenured Associate Professor of Finance (on leave) at the D'Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University and works with student startups as an advisor. He is an angel investor and is a member of the Launchpad Venture Group, which is one of the largest angel group networks in the New England area. He has invested in early stage ventures in the e-commerce and sustainability areas.

Dr. Krishnan's research has been cited in media outlets such as Financial Times, Bloomberg, and Dow Jones Newswires. Dr. Krishnan holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Delhi University and a Ph.D. in finance from Boston College.

Itamar Zur

Itamar Zur, Co-Founder and CEO at Veho Technologies

Itamar Zur is the founder and CEO of Veho Technologies a Boston based crowdsourcing technology platform that enables anyone in their own car to become a package delivery driver (often dubbed "the Uber for last mile delivery"). Veho is the Grand Prize winner of the Harvard Business School New Venture Competition (May 2017) and is backed by some of the top executives in the industry, including Tom Schmitt, the former CEO of FedEx Supply Chain and several UPS executives.

Itamar is a graduate of Harvard Business School (MBA) and is originally from Israel.
