Students at Brandeis IBS become World Ready by applying lessons from the classroom to situations in the real world. The school provides a number of global opportunities through which students can learn and make an impact in the field, including summer internships abroad, international immersion programs, study abroad partnerships, job treks, and more.
Many students utilize these opportunities to:
- Study and absorb new cultural and business perspectives
- Make important network connections around the world
- Improve foreign language skills
- Gain a first-hand understanding of current economic and business issues facing our world
Current Opportunities for Students
Brandeis IBS has partnerships with 18 universities in 15 different countries.
Duration of Program: Typically fall or spring semester, though some opportunities are available over the summer for 3-6 weeks.
Hassenfeld Fellow Overseas Immersion Program
Students learn about the business, economy and politics of an overseas market in a module course preceding travel to the country being studied.
Duration of Program: Approximately 10 days; typically takes place following May Commencement
Job Treks and Summer Internships
Students develop their networks, interact with targeted companies, and refine their job skills and goals through these global opportunities.
Duration of Program: Job Treks vary (typically a week or less); summer internships typically last through the summer break
