Rachel Wasdyke started her career in the publishing industry, where she worked for more than a decade in roles at Bloomsbury Publishing, Hachette Book Group, and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, driving public relations strategies and implementing marketing and publicity campaigns for New York Times best-selling and award-winning authors. Currently, she manages the Office of Engagement at Brandeis International Business School, a team dedicated to connecting students, employers and alumni through professional-development events, programs and opportunities. As part of this role, Professor Wasdyke leads Brandeis International Business School's popular Industry Trek Program, bringing students on career-exploration trips around the globe, and was the recipient of the 2018 Distinguished Staff Service Award for her positive contributions to the school and dedication to its students. Professor Wasdyke has a BA in English from Colby College and a MS in Mass Communication from Boston University's College of Communication, where she has taught communication writing for many years. She is also MBA CSEA committee member, helping represent Brandeis IBS as part of a global alliance of graduate business career management professionals and employers.
