Mann and Sanyal will receive $20,000 for research investigating how financing of entrepreneurs and small firms differs from that of large firms, how the role of venture capital differs for information technology startups compared to other start-ups; and how international venture capital differs from domestic venture capital. Mann and Sanyal will draw on the Kauffman Firm Survey, a unique firm-level dataset newly available from the NORC Data Enclave.
The Kauffman and NORC Research Development Funding Program is designed for social science scholars interested in entrepreneurship, innovation, and related research.
