The Middle East Business Society (MEBS) provides a supportive and positive learning experience in which members learn to develop communication and leadership skills that can be applied in the business sphere of the Middle East and the Arab world. MEBS is for those who are from or would like to do business in the Middle East. Additional aims are to provide a Middle Eastern historical, cultural, and business awareness at Brandeis IBS and within the greater Brandeis community, as well as provide speaking engagements, networking and possible internship opportunities.

Event Highlights

Throughout the year, MEBS hosts a variety of activities, including:

  • Networking events
  • Educational, social, and cultural activities
  • Ongoing Distinguished Speaker sessions

In the 2014-2015 academic year, MEBS co-hosted Aamer Rahman, a stand-up comedian who focuses his work on current events, politics, race relations and other social justice issues.
