Mission

The society's mission is to create cultural awareness for the various countries of South Asia and through this create a stronger international business acumen for Brandeis IBS students. We will foster an environment of learning about festivals through celebration in an authentic way, exposure to multi-cultural cuisine and the rich costumes of each of these countries through regional carnivals. The society brings real life examples and discussion forums for business situations and serves as a support group for students- offering peer Networking and experience sharing through open house events.

If you are a student interested in volunteering for future club events, please complete this form and a club representative will get back to you.

Events and Highlights

In the 2014-2015 Academic year, the South Asian Society (formerly known as the Indian Student Society) held several festivities to celebrate Diwali, including an Aarti (prayer session). The students wore traditional clothes and made Rangoli while co-hosting an international potluck with IBSSA.
