OSTM Assessment for Credit

After successfully completing both micro-courses within a topic area, there is a path to earn university graduate-level credits. Credit may be earned through successfully completing a portfolio assignment in which you will synthesize your learning from the micro-courses you completed. The assignment will also require independent research. Once you successfully complete the project, you will receive an elective course credit (3 credits) towards a Master of Science degree at Brandeis Graduate Professional Studies or a graduate degree at an institution of your choice.

Your project will be conducted under the direction of a Brandeis GPS faculty member. The final portfolio project will consist of a reflective paper with supporting attachments. It should be a compilation of the coursework and independent research that communicates the extent to which you understand and can apply the knowledge, skills, and values of Open Source Software.

Assessment for credit follows the Brandeis GPS academic calendar which has four sessions per academic year. The four GPS sessions start in January, April, July, and October. Each assessment for credit is $990. OSI members receive a 15% discount.
