Around the globe, organizations increasingly use open source software (OSS) as a pathway to foster innovation and increase efficiency. The movement is creating a strong demand for talent who understands open source policies, programs and values and can ensure an organization's OSS investments produce the desired benefits.


Brandeis' OSTM micro-courses equip you with the knowledge to skill up in these unique methods. You can complete each micro-course in approximately five to seven hours per week, including but not limited to:

Complete all six micro-courses to earn a certificate in Open Source Technology Management*.

As a part of the program, you will:

Meet the advisory board members who influence and shape the OSTM curriculum.

Courses Offered

Digital Badges, Certificate and Credits

Complete two micro-courses in a given OSTM topic area to earn a digital badge:*

Complete all six micro-courses to earn a certificate in Open Source Technology Management*.

You can earn three graduate-level credits per topic area by completing an assignment at the conclusion of two micro-courses. Each three-credit bundle is equal to an elective course within Brandeis GPS. Each assessment for credit is $990. OSI members receive a 15% discount.
