FRESH @ the Game Room (Usdan)
Our ‘FRESH’ program on campus provides free, consistent access to non-perishable food resources and hygiene products for students. We have partnered with Healthy Waltham to provide pre-packaged boxes of non-perishable items for our community. Available items may vary from week to week, but you can expect many of your kitchen staples to be included. F.R.E.S.H. is open Mondays from 12-3pm and Wednesdays from 4-7pm during the operational hours of the Game Room, located at the ground floor of Usdan. Please use the link below to register to pick up the pre-packaged boxes.
Swipe Out Hunger
Swipe Out Hunger is a program designed to provide support to Brandeis students who are experiencing food insecurity and educate our campus community about food insecurity.
Beginning now through the end of the Spring 2023 Semester, all Brandeis students can confidentially request meal swipes in blocks of 5 from the Office of Student Financial Services through Brandeis' partnership with Swipe Out Hunger.
Any student experiencing food insecurity can request meal swipes as often as needed. When used, the swipes will display as regular meal swipes at the cash register. As with all meal swipes, these do not carry over between semesters. Meal swipes can be used at any on-campus dining location that accepts meal swipes.
To request meal swipes, please complete this form. Visit the Swipe Out Hunger tab on the Brandeis Hospitality website to learn more.
Warner Farms Vegetable Donation
Every Thursday, from June 8 to Oct. 22, Warner Farms is generously donating approximately 20+ pounds of fresh produce to Brandeis undergraduate and graduate students. On a first come, first serve basis, 10 students per week may reserve a donated 1-2 pounds of farm fresh vegetables for pick-up at Spingold Theater on campus by completing the reservation form below.
To ensure enough produce is available to subscribing CSA members, registered students may pick up their items between 6:15 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.. We apologize for the limited window of time.
Healthy Waltham Food Distributions
On the 2nd, 4th, 5th Thursday of every month, Healthy Waltham hosts a community food distribution for the local Waltham community. This resource is open to all local community members. More information about the community food distribution can be found on the Healthy Waltham website.
