During the week of Aug. 17, Graduate Student Affairs will host a series of virtual orientation events for all incoming graduate students from the Brandeis International Business School, Graduate School for Arts and Sciences, and Heller School for Social Policy and Management.
This orientation will focus on Brandeis-wide resources available to graduate students, educational trainings and the multiple ways students can engage with each other.
In addition to the Graduate Student Affairs sessions, each of the graduate schools will host an orientation program for their own students as well.
Once registered with a Brandeis email address, all new students will be automatically enrolled via LATTE, the university's learning management system, into the Graduate Student Affairs orientation program as well as orientation courses associated with their specific graduate school. Please be sure to check your Brandeis email for regular updates regarding orientation.
Fatimah Williams to Kick Off Orientation
Live orientation events are scheduled primarily for the week of Aug. 17, starting with a kick-off address by Fatimah Williams, founder and chief executive officer of Beyond the Tenure Track, at 8 p.m. EDT.
Beyond the Tenure Track is a professional-development and career-planning firm that prepares graduate students, faculty and PhDs for leadership roles and high-quality careers. Williams holds a doctorate in cultural anthropology from Rutgers University and bachelor’s degrees in foreign affairs and African American studies from the University of Virginia.
Prior to Aug. 17, we encourage students to review the Brandeis-wide resources available on the LATTE page and to use our communication platforms to begin engaging with your Brandeis community.
We are very excited to welcome you to Brandeis!
