From navigating virtual classrooms to learning how to walk the loop road with a mask on, you've overcome a lot of challenges this fall has given you. With winter break around the corner, the time has come to refresh, recharge and STAY CONNECTED!
We know you may not be engaged with classes until February but we encourage you not to totally log off until 2021. We have a number of programs, activities and events to keep you focused on your career throughout the next few months. Check them out below!
Virtual Career Treks
You are invited to virtually meet with over 15+ organizations in a variety of industries to learn about company culture, the hiring process and job and internship openings. Some employers include WarnerMedia, DEA, State Street Corp, Uber, SAP and more! Get ahead of the game in planning for your spring and summer job/internship applications.*
*Treks are hosted by an external partner and have attached a $5 fee per virtual trek. Hiatt can provide financial assistance and support. Learn more.

Diversity Career Summit: Where Inclusion Meets Innovation

Join us for two days of motivation and connection at our Diversity Career Summit: Where Inclusion Meets Innovation. Presented virtually this year, the Summit is designed to help under-represented college students build skills and connections to help launch a career in technology. You’ll hear actionable advice and diverse perspectives on the workplace from industry speakers. This event is presented by the REBLS Network.
Tuesday, January 12 | 1:00 - 5:00 pm
Day one will feature engaging talks on interviewing, building your digital brand, giving and receiving peer feedback, adopting an agile mindset, acing the tech interview, permission to fail (lessons learned and knowledge gained).
Wednesday, January 13 | 1:00 - 4:00 pm
Day two will feature discussions on identity at work, perspectives from interns, and life-long learning.
2021 Virtual Career and Internship Connection Fair

? The Career and Internship Connection Virtual Fair
over winter break is the perfect event for you to meet employers from New York, Boston and DC, inquire about your interests and potentially land interviews for positions.
The CIC Fair is an exclusive event for select schools - including Brandeis. Over the past ten years, this opportunity has generated over 1,000 interviews for Brandeis students. This year, this event is targeted at juniors, seniors and the Class of 2020.
Event registration opens on Monday, December 21 and closes on Tuesday, January 26. It is encouraged that students sign-up early to avoid missing out on available timeslots. Be sure to check back often as employers will be adding in group and one-on-one sessions leading up to the event.

Register for Spring Career Courses
Hiatt offers a 6-week module providing resources on how to navigate career interests, explore decision making, learn strategies for effective planning, and ways to communicate your own career story. Right after break, we will be co-hosting a virtual networking night with Alumni Relations featuring Brandeis alums in various industries, sectors and locations. You'll get to choose what breakout rooms you want to participate in to learn and ask questions.

Hiatt Winter Hours
Hiatt will continue to operate virtually throughout the winter break period. Meet with us
over Zoom or by phone to go over application materials, plans for graduate school, exploring post-career options and more. Our staff will be "offline" from 11/25-11/27 and 12/25- 1/1.
Hiatt Winter Break Funding
We are offering funding for students who are participating in professional development activities. These include: online courses, certifications, skill-building training, webinars, unpaid internships, job-related travel expenses and conferences. Learn more + apply.
Stay up to date with the latest events, job and internship listings and resources 24/7. By updating your profile during winter break, you'll triple your chances of receiving messages from employers about opportunities as well as targeted emails about upcoming programs and positions based on your career interests and backgrounds.
