WE ARE HIRING: Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Chinese History

The Brandeis University History Department seeks to make a full-time, tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the history of China. We are especially interested in historians who would extend the methodological, thematic, and geographic range of the department’s current faculty, and contribute to graduate and undergraduate advising and teaching. The candidate's research focus may be any period, preferably cast in a larger transnational comparative framework. Applicants must have a PhD in hand when the appointment begins in the fall of 2024. This position is subject to budget approval. Candidates should submit a letter of application, a c.v., a writing sample of no more than forty pages, a teaching statement, a diversity statement, and (upon request) three letters of recommendation.
