Zilka Spahic Siljak will speak about specific local Bosnian concepts of compassion (merhamet) and neighborliness (komsiluk) employed for peacebuilding on the borders between Muslim, Catholic, and Orthodox Christian villages in Bosnia Herzegovina.
Siljak is a Harvard Divinity School Visiting Lecturer on Women’s Studies and Islamic Studies and the Deputy Director of the Center for Interdisciplinary PostgraduateStudies at the University of Sarajevo.
