An Israel Studies Book

An Indiana University Press Series on Israel

Building on years of experience with the journal Israel Studies and related publications, the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies is expanding its commitment to enhancing knowledge of Israel by launching a new monograph series through Indiana University Press.

Like the journal and its related books, these volumes will represent groundbreaking multidisciplinary scholarship on Israeli history, politics, society and culture. Temporal boundaries extend to the pre-state period although emphasis is placed on the State of Israel. Due recognition may also be given to events and phenomena in Diaspora communities as they affect the Israeli state and society. This new series is sponsored by the Schusterman Center for Israel Studies at Brandeis University and the Ben-Gurion Research Institute for the Study of Israel and Zionism at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.

We invite proposals of original and previously unpublished research in all fields of the humanities, and the social and political sciences relevant to the study of modern Israel.
