International Undergraduate Student Pre-Orientation

Brandeis will provide an on-campus residential experience for undergraduate students this fall, with classes held in person, remotely or through a combination of both methods. Our graduate schools will offer most of their classes online. Learn more about our plans for the fall 2020 semester

We are so excited to welcome you into the Brandeis community. We are also mindful of the global challenge of the coronavirus. While Brandeis will be operating and holding classes come the fall semester, we are currently determining whether classes will be in person, by remote learning or a mixed hybrid format. The university’s COVID-19 Task Force is considering numerous factors including thresholds set by state and federal government and guidelines established by the Centers for Disease Control. As we make sure to adhere to these guidelines, we will keep the health and safety of our students, faculty, and staff as our top priority. The availability of effective therapies for COVID-19, the reliability, availability and extent of testing, a system of effective contact tracing, the ability to maintain public health standards of physical distancing in our residence halls, classrooms and dining facilities and the securing of rooms for isolation or quarantine will all factor into fall semester planning. Under every scenario, we will support our dedicated faculty so that they can remain flexible in their teaching and accommodate those who may not be able to take classes in person. We plan to share our final decision about fall operations with you by early July. This will include information about any changes to our Orientation programming. Thank you for your understanding, and please take care.
