Changes to Interlibrary Loan and Scan on Demand

Starting Monday, June 21, patrons will be able to make interlibrary loan requests using shorter forms within the OneSearch interface instead of needing to go to ILLiad to do so. Requested physical items and received items will appear in patrons’ OneSearch accounts as before, but after June 21, new requests will only be handled in OneSearch and not ILLiad.

This is part of a series of changes to Interlibrary Loan and Scan on Demand services this summer that will improve how users submit and manage their requests. Please note that you will not lose access to Interlibrary Loan, and services will not take longer than before.

Patrons also now receive their requested scanned articles and book chapters via email. This change will not affect previously received articles and book chapters, as they will continue to be accessible via ILLiad as before.

ILLiad accounts will be going away as of Thursday, July 1. After that date, Interlibrary Loan and Scan on Demand services will only be accessible in OneSearch once you’ve signed into your OneSearch account. This change will make it easier to find items and manage requests from a single account.

Your due dates for items you have checked out will not be impacted. As part of this transition, previously requested articles and books will not migrate from ILLiad to the new system. However, you will be able to see all the ILL books that you have currently checked out by signing into OneSearch and going to the My Account section.

Patrons will still be able to log into their ILLiad accounts until June 30, at which time access to past ILLiad requests and request history will go away completely.
