‘Anita’ and Anita

| Actress Kerry Washington and Anita Hill, University Professor of Social Policy, Law, and Women’s and Gender Studies, joined forces for an on-campus talk in March. Washington plays Hill in the HBO film “Confirmation,” which dramatizes the 1991 U.S. Senate hearings for Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas, at which Hill testified. Washington and Hill discussed the hearings at the Brandeis event, as well as thorny issues around race, gender and sexual harassment. |
