Kate Gardiner’s boutique communications firm, HXMXN, has a growing roster of high-profile clients, ranging from Fortune 500 CEOs to major blockchain startups. She has been invited to share her growth strategies at SXSW, Women 2.0, Blockchain Week and other conferences. John Kotin is a business data analyst and business strategist for the food-delivery operations division of Meituan-Dianping, in Beijing. He wishes everyone a great Year of the Dog. Joanna “Jojo” Lazar is a Boston-based writer and artist who has performed in the theatrical rock band Walter Sickert & the Army of Broken Toys for the past 10 years. She received an MFA in poetry from Lesley University in 2010; publishes; tours; and mentors in writing, zine making and ukulele. Jenny Paul has a recurring role in the series “The Looming Tower,” which debuted on Hulu in February. The series, which stars Jeff Daniels and Peter Sarsgaard, is based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book by Lawrence Wright. It traces the rising threat of Osama Bin Laden and al-Qaida during the 1990s and the U.S. counter-terrorism efforts that attempted to thwart the extremists. Jenny was married to Jeremy Rothschild at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden’s Palm House, in New York, on May 27. Bridesmaids included Beth Seltzer, Brittany Erlich, Samantha Saltzman ’06, and Lynn Spector ’06. Sarah Robinson Schwartz and Michael Schwartz ’09 were married in October in Leesburg, Virginia. They first met in 2006 on the Brandeis crew team and later reconnected in 2011 in Washington, D.C. They live in San Francisco. Sarah has a PhD in neuroscience from the University of California, San Francisco, and Michael is an analyst at First Republic Bank.
