Debra Rahmin Silberstein, Heller PhD’05, has received the 2018 Powley Elder Law Award from the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. She is a partner in Burns & Levinson’s private client group. In addition to elder law, her practice focuses on trusts and estates, family philanthropic planning, and tax-related matters. The University of Michigan named Andrew Ryan, Heller PhD’07, associate professor of health management and policy, as its first UnitedHealthcare Professor of Health-Care Management. United Healthcare Group donated $2.5 million to the school to establish a professorship endowment in the School of Public Health. Andrew’s research centers on value-based payment models that motivate providers to deliver high-quality affordable health care.
