Adam Howard Marks ’00, of New York City, on May 9. A beloved innovative, energetic pianist, he “played anywhere from storefronts to Carnegie Hall, and put on piano festivals in places where no piano played before,” according to the classical-music news site Slipped Disc. Survived by parents Dana and Susan.

Dr. Owusu Ananeh-Firempong II ’03, MS’08, of San Francisco, on Feb. 14. A fellow in hand surgery and microsurgery at the Buncke Clinic, he received his medical degree from UCLA, served as a medical volunteer in Ghana, completed his surgical residency at Duke University, and is recalled as an avid adventurer and a man for all seasons. Survived by his mother.
