Hilda (Rosenbaum) Kahne, Faculty, of Lexington, Massachusetts, on April 27, 2020. A distinguished economist, retired Heller School professor and longtime resident scholar at the Women’s Studies Research Center, she is recalled for her meticulous scholarship as a labor economist and her dedication to social justice. Survived by husband Merton and three sons.

Eleanor M. Morgan, Staff, of Marshfield, Massachusetts, on July 17. A retired director of laboratory supplies at Brandeis, she is remembered for her devotion to family; her warm and straightforward manner; and her love for Marshfield summers, Florida winters, ice cream sundaes and FaceTiming with great-grandchildren. Survived by three sons, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

J. Scott Van Der Meid, Staff, of West Newton, Massachusetts, on July 31. The associate dean of study abroad at Brandeis since 1999, he was past co-chair of the Rainbow Special Interest Group at NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and helped thousands of students study and live in another country, creating lasting benefits for the Brandeis community. Survived by husband Shinji Sato and his parents.
