Edgar H. Brown Jr., Faculty, of Newton, Massachusetts, on Dec. 22, 2021. A professor of mathematics at Brandeis, he was cherished by and devoted to his family. Survived by wife Gail, two children, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Dora Diaz, Staff, of Chelsea, Massachusetts, on July 27. A dedicated custodian in Kutz Hall, she was a talented knitter and sewer, and a lover of animals, especially turtles, elephants, and birds. Survived by husband Fidel and three sons.

Moshe Jacob, Staff, of Maynard, Massachusetts, on April 29. A general maintenance technician at Brandeis, he worked in nearly every building on campus; he was also a dual citizen of the U.S. and Israel, with an extensive knowledge of politics, and an avid Boston Celtics fan. Survived by wife Michelle and two sons.

Mary Leary, Staff, of Hudson, Massachusetts, on May 9. A payroll specialist at Brandeis for 25 years, she was married to the love of her life, Larry, for 36 years, and shared her enjoyment of tea parties, reading, and Cape Cod vacations with her daughters and grandchildren. Survived by three daughters, nine grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
