Robin Kahn
Undergraduate Teaching Fellows Program Director
A highlight of Robin’s week is working with the Undergraduate Teaching Fellows, supporting the new teachers in their work with young learners. Her core belief about education is that learning thrives when relationships are established. Relationship-building is at the center of her work, and she is always thinking about building relationships with and among learners to create communities of teachers.
In addition to her work at the Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel Center for Studies in Jewish Education, Robin is the Graduate Program Leader for the Mandel Teacher Educator Institute, supporting senior-level educators' professional growth.
Robin is also a MaTaRot (Professional Development) Team member at Hebrew College in Newton, where she facilitates workshops, coaches education directors, and teaches. She is also the co-Director of Me’ah, an adult learning program at Hebrew College.
For 27 years, Robin worked in synagogue education and held leadership positions in the Boston and Philadelphia areas. She has spent summers as a senior educator at Ramah Sports Academy, working with campers, counselors, and coaches to reinforce Jewish values on the field and court. Robin earned a BA and MA from Brandeis University in Modern Jewish History and an EdM from Harvard University in Learning and Teaching.
