Charles Stine has been awarded the "Exceptional Departmental Service, Remote Learning Transition of 2020 Award" for his contributions to supporting the department’s pivot to remote learning.
Langte Ma has been awarded the 2020 Jerome Levine Prize for his outstanding PhD thesis,"Gluing and Surgery for the Casson-Seiberg-Witten Invariant of Integral Homology S1 × S3".
Wei Lu has been awarded the "2020 Outstanding Graduate Teaching Award" for the Department of Mathematics, based on the high quality of his efforts as a member of the Brandeis teaching community.
Eric Hanson has been awarded the Graduate Student Teaching Prize. Eric received outstanding evalutations from both students and professors, demonstrated consistently excellent preparation of the materials, and his teaching demonstrates a strong engagement with undergraduates.

Charlotte Rose Morris-Wright has been awarded the Graduate Student Teaching Prize, in appreciation of her dedication and skill in the teaching of mathematics.

Brian Mintz '20 has been awarded the "Shapiro Prize in Mathematics". The prize is given annually in memory of Professor Arnold Shapiro.
Thomas O'Hare ’19 has been awarded the Shapiro Prize in Mathematics. The prize is given annually in memory of Professor Arnold Shapiro. Thomas will be starting his PhD at the Ohio State University in fall 2019.
Richard Haburcak ’18 has been awarded the Shapiro Prize in Mathematics. The prize is given annually in memory of Professor Arnold Shapiro. Richard is beginning his graduate work at Dartmouth College in the fall.
