Presidents to reflect on college days

Get this: Once upon a time, President Reinharz and President-elect Lawrence had roommates.

The two will take a look back on their own senior years in college in an event open to this year’s graduating class. They will talk from a personal perspective about the challenges of senior year and are sure to present some tales from the past. “When We Were Seniors” will be held in the Foster Gallery of the Rose Art Museum on Thursday, Dec. 2, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Those graduating next spring will get the chance to know both the current and future president of Brandeis better and will be reassured that the stresses they are feeling are not unwarranted or uncommon.

The event is for seniors by seniors, presented by the Senior Class Gift Committee. The evening will have a question-and-answer format, and will be followed by a reception and entertainment by “Sax Appeal,” an all-saxophone student group.
