Time: 00:01:26

As opening graphic appears on screen:

On the left-hand side of the graphic a portrait of David Weinstein is seen with a close-up image of red, white and blue "VOTE" button is in the background. One the right-hand side of the image in large white with a blue stoke lettering reads "WHY I VOTE" laid over a slate colored background.

The graphic then cuts to video of David Weinstein seated.

A lower third graphic with their name and title transition on briefly -

"David Weinstein, Assistant Director of ENACT and Communications for the Ethics Center"

They address the camera:

"I'm David Weinstein, Assistant Director of ENACT and Communications at the International Center for Ethics, Justice and Public Life at Brandeis University, and an elected member of the Cambridge Massachusetts School Committee.

I vote because every vote makes a difference and every vote makes an impact - not only at the federal level but at the state and local level as well.

As a local elected official, I am very aware of the impact state and local policy makes on the individual lives of everybody in my community, and state policy.

I've seen through the Educational Network for Active Civic Transformation (ENACT) how much a difference very small numbers of votes sometimes make in who is elected to state government and what ballot questions pass and how those state efforts not only make a difference to the people in that state, but sometimes lead the way to national policy.

ENACT is a national nonpartisan organization in which undergraduates engage with their state legislatures, and they see very quickly how much difference what they do can make.

And that is why I vote."

The video then transitions out to show a white background where blue text reading "Brandeis University" fades into the screen. A few frames later the text "go.brandeis.edu/votedeis" also fades into the screen after a few seconds the screen fades to black.
