    Want to build a mobile application designed to connect women in STEM fields? Or perhaps you wish to start your own business as a nearby Techie who repairs all things related to technology? Whatever your desire, let’s create it together at Brandeis App Design.

    In this program, you’ll level up your coding skills with 45 hours of classroom instruction and mentorship led by faculty and students from the university’s well-regarded computer science major. Together with a team of like-minded peers, you will have the incredible opportunity to: 

    You do not need any programming background to make the most of this extraordinary experience. Your apps are written using HTML and Bootstrap for the front-end and the interactivity on the client and server is handled in JavaScript using the Nodejs framework interacting with a Mongo database. You can learn all you need to know during the program!

    Sample Schedule
    • Breakfast: 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.
    • App Design Course: 9 a.m. - noon
    • Lunch: Noon - 1:30 p.m.
    • MakerLab Intro and Intro to Emerging Technology and Design: 1:30 - 3 p.m.
    • App Design Course: 3 - 5 p.m.
    • Dinner: 5 - 6:30 p.m. 
    • Design Thinking Workshop: 6:30 - 8 p.m.
    • Discretionary Time on Campus: 8 - 9:30 p.m.
    • In Residence Hall: 9:30 p.m.
    Program Costs

    The fee for this program is: $3,550 

    In the Brandeis tradition of offering academic access to all students, the App Design Program seeks each year to provide a limited number of scholarships to outstanding applicants who otherwise might not be able to afford this exceptional opportunity.
