A Brandeis Holiday Tradition

Dec. 5, 2019

Dear members of the Brandeis community,

It is with great pleasure that I invite you to participate in a Brandeis holiday tradition. On Wednesday, December 11 at 4:00 p.m., in the Shapiro Campus Center atrium, all interested members of the Brandeis community are invited to our annual sing of highlights from Handel’s masterwork “Messiah.” Your families are invited to attend as well.

The hour-long concert will be led by Neal Hampton, conductor, Brandeis-Wellesley Orchestra, with members of the Brandeis University Chorus and Chamber Singers and guest soloists under the direction of Robert Duff. For your singing pleasure, music scores will be provided. Please arrive a few minutes early to get your copy!

After the concert, our Chaplains invite guests from all backgrounds to celebrate the lighting of the Christmas tree in the SCC. Enjoy seasonal refreshments while we sing Christmas carols together. In the spirit of the season, there will also be a table at the concert for you to drop off a donation of soccer balls, footballs, Elephant and Piggy books, gardening tools, educational games, or craft supplies. Donations will be collected by the Department of Community Service and distributed to the Prospect Hill Community Center in Waltham.

Best wishes,

Lisa M. Lynch
