Changes in Student Accessibility Support (SAS)
December 18, 2023
Dear Colleagues,
I am writing to share some updates in the Office of Student Accessibility Support (SAS).
Please congratulate Kaitlyn Rogers as she begins as Interim Director of SAS on January 5. Kaitlyn has a Master's of Education in student affairs counseling and over 8 years of experience working in college disability services, including her 5+ years here at Brandeis, most recently as Senior Accessibility Specialist. She is well prepared to support faculty, staff, and students. We will conduct a search next semester for a permanent director.
The current Director of SAS, Cara Streit, is leaving Brandeis to return to her clinical social work roots. She will be joining LifeStance Health as a mental health therapist. I am grateful for Cara’s leadership and commitment to the support of our students over the last three years. Cara’s last day at Brandeis will be January 5.
Please join me in welcoming Kaitlyn to this new role and wishing Cara the best of luck in her new position.
Sincerely,
Carol A. Fierke
Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
