Our academic realignment moves forward
Dear Students, Faculty, and Staff,
Today we are taking another step in our work to transform our approach to higher education, publicly announcing the academic reorganization plans that we shared with you over the past semester, and launching new web pages for the schools of Arts, Humanities and Culture; Science, Engineering and Technology; Business and Economics; and Social Sciences and Social Policy. As you know, these schools will encompass our academic disciplines and their practical applications for both our undergraduate, graduate and professional programs.
The reorganization of our academic departments marks a key milestone in our strategy to reimagine how the liberal arts can be applied to meet the demands of a changing world. The new academic structure received strong faculty endorsement earlier this year. We’ll continue to update you as our work proceeds, and we invite you to review the FAQ page about this initiative.
Thank you for your continued support as we build upon Brandeis’ founding values to ensure our students are prepared to thrive and lead in our changing world.
Sincerely,
Carol A. Fierke, PhD’84
Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs
