Tanashya Batra '21
Tanashya Batra (she/her) is the Interim Media and Communications Coordinator and a Peer Advocate in training at the RCC. She is a freshman majoring in International and Global Studies and thinking about a minor in Legal Studies. As a peer advocate, she is looking forward to helping survivors and contribute to de-stigmatizing sexual assault on campus. Outside the RCC, she is an ambassador for Brandeis admissions, a member of the ‘DEIS Impact organizing committee and an advocate for the Office of Student Rights Advocacy. She enjoys traveling and reading. Her office hours are on Tuesdays from 1:00-2:00pm, Wednesdays from 2:00-4:00pm and Thursdays from 12:00-1:00pm.
Kaya Bothe '21
Kaya Bothe (she/her) is a Peer Advocate in training at the RCC. She is a freshman thinking about studying Health, Science, Society and Policy. A fun fact about her is that she can unicycle and juggle! Outside the RCC, she is on the executive board of the Campus Activities Board (CAB) and is a member of the Active Minds Club. As a new peer advocate this semester, she is excited about helping survivors and making a change on campus. She speaks English and is proficient in Spanish. Her office hours are on Tuesdays from 2:00-4:00pm and Fridays from 12:00-2:00pm.
Hannah Brock '19
Hannah Brock (they/them) is a Peer Advocate at the RCC. They are a junior studying Sociology and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with a minor in African and Afro-American Studies. Outside of the RCC, they are a bystander trainer, a member of Brandeis Students Against Sexual Violence (B.SASV), and a member of the Task Force for Sexual Assault Response, Services, and Prevention. They enjoy writing songs and poetry. This semester, they are focused on cultivating empowering and supportive spaces for survivors, holding the knowledge that empowerment and support look different for every person. Simultaneously, they aim to work in the community to generate an ever-evolving culture of consent on campus. Hannah is currently studying abroad for the semester
Baolu Chen '19
Baolu Chen (she/her) is the Advocate and Volunteer Coordinator as well as a Peer Advocate and confidential resource at the Brandeis Rape Crisis Center. She loves to reach out to different communities at Brandeis and share the knowledge she has for sexual assault and prevention. As an international student, she feels it is challenging but also important to talk about sexual assault issues. She hopes more people in this community can normalize sex and prevent sexual assault with the services of Rape Crisis Center. She is a double major in Music and Philosophy now. Her native language is Chinese and please feel free to reach out to her if you want to use either Chinese or English to get services. Baolu's office hours are Wednesdays from 12:00-1:00pm and Fridays from 2:00-5:00pm.
Sarah Dublin '18
Sarah Dublin (she/her) is a Peer Advocate and confidential resource at the Brandeis Rape Crisis Center. As an advocate, she is excited to give survivors the support and resources they need to heal and grow. She is grateful to have the opportunity to educate members of the Brandeis community on sexual assault and prevention and change campus culture surrounding sexual health. Sarah is a senior, majoring in Psychology and minoring in French and Francophone Studies and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. Along with working at the RCC, Sarah is president of the acapella group Voices of Soul. Her favorite activities include watching comedy, singing, and traveling. She knows English and is conversational in French. Sarah's office hours are Tuesdays from 1:00-3:30pm and Wednesdays from 3:30-5:00pm.
Divanna Eckles '18
Divanna Eckels (she/her or they/them) is a senior majoring in African and Afro-American Studies and History with a minor in Sexuality and Queer Studies. In addition to their work as a peer advocate, Divanna is the Coordinator of Education and Training for the Office of Prevention Services, a peer advisor for the Queer Resource Center, a member of the Brandeis Pluralism Alliance steering committee, and the UDR for the Sexuality and Queer Studies program. Divanna looks forward to continuing their work to ensure that all students have equitable access to campus resources, information, and counsel suited to their specific needs. Divanna's hours are Tuesdays from 12:00-1:00pm, Wednesdays from 2:00-3:30pm, and Fridays from 12:00-1:30pm.
Chila Haber '19
Chila Haber (she/her) is a peer advocate and confidential resource at the Brandeis Rape Crisis Center. She's from Wellesley, Massachusetts and a Junior double majoring in Women, Gender, and Sexuality studies and Anthropology. Along with working at the RCC, Chila loves to perform and is a part of Brandeis Starving Artists, a co-ed acapella group on campus. She is grateful to be a part of the RCC community and looks forward to increasing the visibility of the RCC at Brandeis and contributing awareness to sexual assault prevention. Chila speaks English and is also conversational in Spanish. Chila is currently studying abroad for the semester.
Tamar Harrison '20
Tamar (she/her) Harrison is a Peer Advocate and confidential resource at the RCC. She is from Atlanta, Georgia and is a sophomore with an intended double major in Health, Science, Society, and Policy and Biology with a minor in African and Afro-American studies. She enjoys dancing, listening to music (especially Stevie Wonder), and eating ice-cream. Her goals for this semester are to increase community engagement in the discourse of sexual assault as it relates to awareness and prevention efforts and to assist in the destigmatization of rape and rape culture in the United States, especially on college campuses. Tamar's office hours are on Mondays from 1:00-3:00pm, Tuesdays from 12:00-1:00pm, and Wednesdays 4:00-5:00pm.
Ari Keigan '18
Ari Keigan (she/her) is a senior studying African and Afro-American Studies (AAAS) and Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies (WGS). Outside of her role at the RCC, she works at Phonathon and dog-walks. Ari has been a Peer Advocate at the RCC since her sophomore year, and she has worked on projects related to consent workshops, greek life, and resource visibility. She is looking forward to working on this year's focus groups and other projects related to student outreach. Ari’s overall goal is to increase RCC visibility on campus and ensure that our space and resources are accessible to as many members of the Brandeis community as possible. Ari is in the RCC on Mondays from 3:00 - 5:00PM and Thursdays from 2:30 - 5:00PM and can offer support in both English and Spanish. Saren McAllister '18
Saren McAllister (she/her) is the Office Coordinator, as well as a Peer Advocate, at the RCC. She is a senior from Biloxi, Mississippi, double-majoring in Sociology and African and Afro-American Studies. In addition to working at the RCC, Saren works at Cholmondeley's Coffee House, serves as the Undergraduate Departmental Representative for African and Afro-American Studies, and interns at the Community Day Center of Waltham. She is passionate about dance, cats and radical nonviolence. Her goals for this semester are to empower and support a diverse group of survivors at Brandeis and to collaborate with other students on projects to reduce sexual violence. Olivia Pavao '20
Olivia Pavao (she/her) is a Peer Advocate and confidential resource at the RCC. She’s a sophomore who plans on double majoring in Politics and English with a minor in Legal Studies. She is also the Publicity Chair for the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance on campus. Some other favorite pastimes include drawing, painting, singing, and reading. Olivia wanted to join the RCC because she believes in the work the RCC does and wanted to be a part of its mission and help in its important work. Her goal for this semester is to help foster a better environment on campus regarding sexual assault prevention and awareness. Olivia's office hours are Mondays from 12:00-1:00pm, Thursdays from 12:00-2:30pm and Fridays from 1:30-2:30pm.
Serena Shen '19
Serena Shen (she/her) is the Media and Communications Coordinator and a Peer Advocate at the RCC. She is a junior from Great Neck, New York and double-majoring in Psychology and Business with a minor in Creative Writing. Outside of the RCC, she is also part of the Events Planning Committee of the Brandeis Asian American Students Association (BAASA). She enjoys writing, refining her photography skills, and petting dogs in her free time. This semester, she looks forward to continuing her work in supporting and empowering survivors and making resources available and accessible to the Brandeis community as a whole. Serena is currently studying abroad for the semester.
Rachel Snyderman '20
Rachel Snyderman (she/her) is a Peer Advocate and confidential resource at the Brandeis Rape Crisis Center. She is a sophomore from Washington, DC, potentially majoring in Psychology and minoring in Hispanic Studies. She loves to sing, bake, draw, and pet every dog she sees. As an RCC advocate, Rachel aims to broaden awareness on campus about the issues surrounding sexual violence and how it affects the Brandeis community, and to help contribute to the warm and supportive atmosphere of the RCC. Rachel's office hours are Mondays from 3:30-5:00pm, Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00pm, and Fridays from 2:30-5:00pm.
Jessica Whimper '21
Jessica Whimper (she/her) is a Peer Advocate in training at the RCC. She is a freshman planning to major in Sociology and minor in Afro-African American Studies. This semester, she is excited to work with the other peer advocates to create events at the RCC. She is also looking forward to bringing awareness to the crime of sexual violence, here on Brandeis University's campus and beyond. Her office hours are from on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:00 pm, Wednesdays from 1:00-2:00pm and Thursdays from 3:30-5:00pm.

Kelyn Zhang (she/her) and is a peer advocate in training and confidential resource at the RCC. She is a junior majoring in Anthropology and HSSP with a minor in Art History This semester, she is looking forward to working at the RCC and her goal for this semester is to share the knowledge and raise the awareness of sexual assault and sexual health for people with different cultural backgrounds.
