Library Intensive Program

The Library Intensive Programis a special academic service to enable Brandeis students to developthe sophisticated information retrieval skills essential to modernlife, in the context of formal degree programs and beyond. Itis not a formal major, minor, or program.

In the courses listed below,instructional time is devoted to the formal acquisition of libraryresearch skills, including the use of more specialized resourcessuch as scientific databases, full text electronic databases,specialized abstract and indexing services, archival resources,and Internet resources. Students are thus equipped to find andevaluate information from a wide variety of sources.
