The Hadassah-Brandeis Institute develops fresh ways of thinking about Jews and gender worldwide by producing and promoting research, artistic projects, and public engagement. The world's only academic center of its kind, HBI provides research resources and programs for scholars, students, and the public.

The institute publishes books and a journal, convenes international conferences and local programming, and offers highly competitive grant and internship programs.

Maurice and Marilyn Cohen Center
for Modern Jewish Studies

The Maurice and Marilyn Cohen Center for Modern Jewish Studies is a multi-disciplinary research center that incorporates the latest concepts, theories, and techniques of social science in the study of contemporary Jewish life. Research areas include Jewish education, Israel, synagogues, and socio-demography. Projects are conducted by multi-disciplinary teams, and the results are published in a variety of scholarly, professional, and popular publications. The Center’s work advances scholarly knowledge and informs policymaking in the U.S. Jewish community.

Steinhardt Social Research Institute

The Steinhardt Social Research Institute is dedicated to providing unbiased, high-quality data about contemporary Jewry. The Institute conducts socio-demographic research, studies the attitudes and behavior of U.S. Jews, and develops a variety of policy-focused analyses of issues such as intermarriage and the effectiveness of Jewish education.

Tauber Institute for the Study of European Jewry

The Tauber Institute for the Study of European Jewry is devoted to the study of modern European Jewish history, thought, culture, and society. It has a special interest in studying the Holocaust and its aftermath within the context of modern European intellectual, political, and social history.It sponsors a book series dedicated to compelling and innovative approaches to the study of modern European Jewry and has established the Brandeis Library of Modern Jewish Thought, a series of primary source readers, in reliable English translations, on major thinkers and topics.

The Sarnat Center for the Study of Anti-Jewishness is affiliated with The Tauber Institute for the Study of European Jewry.

The Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Center for Studies in Jewish Education develops and promotes scholarship on teaching and learning in Jewish education. It seeks to inspire Jewish educators and policy makers to think, talk, and act more effectively, in order to make a deep and lasting difference in the lives of learners and in the vibrancy of the Jewish community.
