Hindu and Dharmic Communities

At Brandeis, the Dharmic communities include Buddhism, Hinduism, Jainism and Sikhism. While students of Dharmic faiths have attended Brandeis for decades, their religious community has grown substantially in recent years.
A Dharmic Prayer and Meditation Space is located on the third floor of the Shapiro Campus Center for group gatherings and individual practice. Chaplains meet with students and hold events in the space, along with Namaskar (a student organization established to educate and promote Hindu, Jain and Sikh culture and spiritual heritage) and the Buddhist Sangha. The space is open to all members of the Brandeis community for private reflection upon request.
