First-year Brandeis student named to National Grid Foundation board

Brandeis student Tasbia Uddin ‘29 has been selected as a member of the National Grid Foundation’s inaugural Youth Advisory Council.

Uddin is one of 12 students from Massachusetts, New York, and Delaware who will advise on youth initiatives, provide insight into grant-making for organizations focused on energy education, and foster connections with peers who share a commitment to social impact. The Youth Advisory Council will meet four times a year over a two-year term, participating in sessions centered on leadership and philanthropy facilitated by National Grid Foundation board members, employees, and community leaders. 

In high school, Uddin, of Lexington, co-founded LoveTech(Code), an international initiative empowering girls and nonbinary youth in tech.

The National Grid Foundation is an independent charitable arm of National Grid that support STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) and literacy education.
