Brandeis BS/MS in Biotechnology

Descriptive Transcript

The video opens with a close up of a Brandeis student named Destiny Kluck '25, MS’26 who is a graduate student in the BS/MS program. We are introduced to her voiceover as she introduces herself, and we see her and another student in a laboratory, as well as aerial scenes of the campus on a sunny day.

Music is heard playing throughout the video.

A lower third graphic with her name appears that reads "Destiny Kluck '25, B.S. Biology and Health, Science, Society and Policy '26 M.S. in Biotechnology”

Destiny says “I decided to do the BS/MS program in biotech because I was really interested in a new career in biotechnology where you combine the fields of  science, technology and also the growing biotech sector.” We see shots of her in different scenarios related to science and technology.

Destiny speaks about how Brandeis gave her a fast track option and more affordable tuition fees for her master's degree as key benefits when applying to the program as a senior undergraduate student.

She says “A master's wouldn’t have even been on my mind if I didn't have the money to do so so Brandeis gave a fast track option where I could combine my bachelor's degree to my master's program, so allowed me to only have that extra year instead of two years of paying.”

Scenes of Destiny, other students and a professor in the Human Performance Lab can be seen. We can see Destiny working with these students and evaluating their performance by the use of technology and other tools. While she explains “So we're focusing on getting the biometrics and the physical data, of athletes and students on campus and that kind of developed into my thesis. I was able to develop a project while I was still an undergrad to continue on to my master’s, and that relationship would have never happened or flourished without the master's program.” Scenes of student athletes playing soccer and common students playing volleyball on campus show up as well.

A clip montage with Destiny and another student shows up. They are in the lab and Destiny is measuring the student’s pressure.

Destiny returns to the camera and provides an explanation of the application process for the BS/MS program:

“For the BS/MS program in biotechnology typically, you apply in your senior year which makes it a streamlined process and pretty easy and fast.”

The video then fades to white and a Brandeis blue logo appears. The music fades out.
