Samantha de Melim joined Brandeis's Department of Community Service team in the Summer of 2019. Samantha supports students engaged in a variety of co-curricular community service initiatives including alternative break service trips, the Commitment to Service Award program, the Rich/Collins Community Leadership and Impact Fellowship, and signature service programs such as MLK Day of Service and Celebration of Service.
Before Brandeis, Samantha served as a Student Activities Coordinator at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi, where she coordinated co-curricular service opportunities and advised an extended orientation program. Additionally, she served as a Graduate Fellow in Service-Learning at North Shore Community College, where she coordinated an academic service-learning program. Samantha holds a Bachelor's degree in Medical Biology with a minor in Latin American Studies from the University of New England and a Master's degree in Community Engagement with a concentration in Higher Education from Merrimack College. In her free time, Samantha enjoys volunteering with Team Rubicon and exploring the outdoors with her cocker spaniel Luna.
