Move-Out Market

What is the Student Union Move-Out Market?
- The move-out program is a Student Union led initiative made possible by the Community Engagement and Emergency Fund (CEEF) aimed to promote and facilitate sustainable exchange at Brandeis University. The program intends to reduce waste through the collection of gently used items useful for residential living on campus, for other peers to continue to use.
- Towards the end of the academic year, the Move-Out Market schedules days in each living community to accept items that students no longer need. These items are collected, inventoried, and then students enrolled in classes over the next academic year will have the opportunity to acquire them. Any remaining items will be donated.

How can I acquire items?
- Upon completion of item collection, there will be two opportunities to claim items.
- At the end of the semester, students will be able to purchase items for a nominal fee and either immediately take the item, or we can set aside the item for pick up at the beginning of the following semester.
- Students will also have the opportunity at the beginning of the following semester to acquire any remaining items.
- Fees
- Most items will be between $1 and $20. For instance, a shirt may be $1 and a TV may be $20. There may be exceptions for larger items or for many small items (pens, paper, etc.)
