Q. Is registration required for Family Weekend?

A. We would love to know that you are coming! This will help us prepare for your arrival on campus. Online registration is coming soon!

Q. Do I need to pay to attend Family Weekend?

A. Registration is free! However, some events, such as Shabbat Dinner, the comedy show, and the off-campus trips on Friday and Saturday have ticket fees.

Q. How do I participate in off-campus programs?

A. Please purchase tickets in advance through Brandeis Tickets to participate in off-campus programs. You may buy tickets online or by phone at (781) 736-3400. Or, your student may purchase them in person at the box office in the Shapiro Campus Center.

Q. I want to attend the Shabbat Dinner during Family Weekend, how should I purchase tickets?

A. Visit Brandeis Tickets to purchase your ticket(s) to the Shabbat Dinner. Each member of your family will need a ticket. Please call Brandeis Tickets at 781-736-3400 to purchase tickets for children under 12. Brandeis students pay for the Shabbat dinner using their meal plan.

Q. Can I register later?

A. Yes, you can register when you arrive on campus for Family Weekend. Just go to the registration table in the Shapiro Campus Center Atrium; however, if you plan on participating in any off-campus programs, we recommend you purchase tickets in advance because most programs sell out before Family Weekend.

Q. Are there overnight accommodations on campus during Family Weekend?

A. We do not have on-campus housing facilities available for families during Family Weekend. Click here for options in the Waltham area. For campus visits on dates outside of Family Weekend, you may want to consider our on-campus accommodations at The Lodge. Unfortunately, rooms at The Lodge are not available during Family Weekend.

Q. What is the closest hotel to campus?

A. Newton Marriott is the closest hotel option. It is approximately a mile and a half walk from campus. Within the Fall Fest program, we do offer guided walks from campus back to the hotel on Friday night. 

Q. Where can we eat in the Waltham Area?

A. Waltham has many nice restaurants. Most are located along Main Street and Moody Street downtown. A partial listing is available here.
 
Q. Does Brandeis provide transportation to and from campus?

A. Brandeis does not provide transportation, however here are options for you and your family.

Q. When does everything start and end?

A.  Fall Fest Weekend 2017 begins on Thursday, October 26 and runs though Monday, October 30. A majority of the events take place on Friday and Saturday.
