- Yeah, so my research falls under the social sciences category and my current project on housing instabilities amongst Latinas in the U.S. Although it's going to end as a research paper for the Anthropology Department, it has had so much value. I have given 13 Latina women hours of my time, and they've given me so much of their time to talk and listen to them speak about their experience, give me "testimonios," testimonies about their experiences about how they've lived in the U.S. and their hardships. And that's valuable time for me. And I believe, I strongly believe that these women love to share their experiences and love to prepare others for outcomes that could be as as difficult as theirs. You know, preparing people for the next generation. And, I hope that this contributes to academia. Oral histories, I believe, aren't really tended to be seen as, you know, academic from, you know, a first sight. And, yeah, I think that people's stories and history should be seen as rigorous as things that we should be learning in class. And, I hope to be gifting my mother this research paper. I'm currently working on a little cover painting with my friend who is an art major. And, yeah, so, it's going to be a Spanglish essay article. So, it's going to be written in both Spanish and English. And so yes. Thank you. - Yeah. So with my current research project that I'm working on with Ariel, I'm hoping to kind of see what the data shows in correlation to infection rate with tightness and looseness. And then maybe like coming up with a more specific research question to hopefully turn that into a senior thesis for the HSSP department, which is Health: Science, Society, and Policy. I'm really excited to do that 'cause my dad actually went to Brandeis, and he also wrote a senior thesis. So, he knows that I'm doing it. And like, I kind of want to like give it to him and like do the whole thing. I thought it would be cute. And also I'm really interested in the topic. - I think like the first outcome is I hope that I could contribute this to academia probably a little bit, not that so much. Because when I started this research, I realized that it's about part of the Sino-Soviet relationship. But I know that the only thing that history teachers in China taught about Sino-Soviet relationships are all about politics, but they did not, they barely touched on the cultural aspect, and they also barely touch the Russian's influence, Russian's influence upon local residents, upon people's lives. They only talk about politics, but I'm more interested in people's life. But I didn't find any literature about it, like from the bottom to tell the history. So, I use this kind of method of oral history interview Like, I hope that I could reappear the life of the local people, how they were influenced by the Russians. I, also, I only found three books about like my topic at Brandeis Library. So, I think there's like a lack of this kind of literature in academia. So I hope I could contribute to it. And, also, I hope that I could make it a senior thesis and help me complete my history or honor history degree. Yeah.
