WiSI is all about supporting women in STEM. We are always accepting new members; grad students, postdocs, staff and faculty of ANY gender are welcome to participate in WiSI. Events are open to everyone! Please spread the word to anyone you think may be interested in our cause.
Stay connected by joining us on Slack
Plug into the inner workings of WiSI by joining our public Slack channel. We use Slack for all of our internal communications. By joining our Slack workspace, you can observe and participate in brainstorming, event planning and board meetings. We also use Slack to share Boston area events and opportunities related to women in STEM. It's a great way to stay in the loop and actively contribute to WiSI.
Slack can be downloaded as desktop and phone apps. If WiSI is your only Slack workspace, we highly recommend installing Slack on your phone to stay notified without having to log in on a computer. It functions just like other apps (Twitter, Facebook, etc), plus you can customize notifications to suit your level of engagement.

Board meetings are open to all members
We have in-person meetings once a month (usually on the first Tuesday, unless otherwise stated). Don't worry if you miss a meeting; we post the minutes to Slack. We strive to maintain representation of all the departments of the Division of Science. We are actively recruiting members from all departments, but particularly encourage individuals from Chemistry, Computer Science and Math to join us. We rely on members to promote WiSI events and recruit participants from their departments.
